Home again after a wonderful vacation in Denmark.
Time to build the big Christmas gift for the kids (no we didn't bring it with us to and from Denmark).
An Ikea kitchen, and it is a success. the kids love to work there while we cook in the kitchen
We got a new lake only 100 meters from our home one day. "Unfortunately" somebody lead by the mayor got it to disappear again after only an hour.
In order to get Alesandro to eat a little more variated then he does (who can survieve on white rice, white bread or white pasta for years?) we have decided to involve him in the cooking.
Marco and his first day of cooking together. Pizza was on the menu.
It was partly a success. But we keep on going. By now we have got him to eat chicken without forcing it on him- YEAH!
Marco have played with the photo editor and got Iris picture on the truck. Cool!

Other Stories and Pictures from December 2011
Our kids have a lot of DVDs. Too many will some say. While the DVDs themself are guarded by us as parents the covers however are the treasure of the kids. They have all of them in a big drawer and the love to take them in and out and study them.
Here Iris is guarding her treasure.
We were invited to our friend Thomas 40 years birthday party.
If it is his Swedish /Finish traditions or just a crazy idea that enden in a very nice - but for us alos very different birthdaycelebration I do not know.
He had invited us for a bonfire and arranged for grilling some food and a lot of desserts.
Unfortunately were there no snow, so the cloth got more mud dirty then wet, and some of the fun for the kids were not there. But the idea was fantastic and we did have a good time.
Christmas gift shopping in Ballerup Centeret. Alessandro tried a new Winter Jacket and when we paied for it he insisted on having the package on top of him all the time.
Even when he was sleeping he could feel if we tried to move it.
Beuatiful Iris
Guess who eat Nutella for breakfast...
Marco Loves seafood.
The Second Christmas day we had invited us self to visit my sister Lotte. To make up for it we had paid a company to deliver the food.
Also my brother Peder was there, so with kids and grandkids we made a full house.
Here is my nephew Kristian interacting with his cousin - the beautiful Iris.
Ignore me, just look at how Iris imitates me. I believe she will be very good at Suduko one day.

31.Dec- New Year - Vacation in Denmark
This picture is of Iris having breakfast with her Hello Kitty necklas as headdecoration and her mouth well covered in Yougurt.
We went to our friend Mike and Lenes place downtown Copenhagen to celebrate new year eve. Besides me having the opportunity to see several of my very good old friends, the kids also have kids the same age to play with.
I got us equipped with hats - Marco took it well - but I also got a more "conservative" hat for him.
All the different people invited have eached prepared a course. We were resonsible for Dessert so with many good icecreams and a couple of good cakes we made our way there.
My dad was so kind both to bring us and pick us up, else we wouldn't be ablet o afford goint there (parking is soo Expensive and forget the taxi rates!)
Iris took ownership of the bike. Nothing can be pink without her thinking it belongs to her.
Here I am with one of my best friend Anne.
After the kids had finished eating and the grownups just started, some peace needed to be established. A good cartoon helped on that.
Here we are... enjoying the good food and good comapany.
Kids enjoyed the "Pre-firework" that took place just outside our windowns downtown Copenhagen. That is the benefit of living on the 5th floor I believe.
Then we started to get kids in bed, and surpricingly was Alessandro and Iris okay with sleeping a different place. Iris however woke up a couple of times and needed reasurrence that we where still there.
So the party continued until 04.00 in the morning. We enjoyed Mikes german tradition of heating leed and drop it into water for thereafter examine it to find a clue to our future. Mine surely indicated that the Earth soon will be visited by Alians.
The boardgame Mona and Andrew brough along was also very funny, and we now know we have some very crazy friends! - Well we knew that but know it is confirmed.
Thank you to Mike and Lene for hosting the party.

25. Dec - Christmas 2011 - Vacation in Denmark
The 1st. Christmas day we got together again. This is the tradition every year (even when we from Germany can't come). Normally we as siblings celebrate Christmas together every second year but 1st Christmas day every year.
Again we have a lot of videos that won't get uploaded here...
We were almost the same bunch of people as yesterday besides my father and Jannie's parents didnt come. Instead we had my nice Annika, her friend and her youngst son Aksel there. He and Iris played very well together. My niece Nanna were also there but without her son Julius.
Again we eat very well, and then we played with packages... I do not know why but I love that game. This time we used some cards instead of af dice, but it was still great fun, especially since I was not one of them that have to sing or say like a chicken.

We use to go to the cinema before our "lunch"but with all the small kids we have skipped that tradition the last years. I guess we in a few years can renew the tradition again when all or most of the kids are old enough for 1.5 hour sitting down performance :).

24. Dec - Christmas 2011 - Vacation in Denmark
Christmas was this year celebrated in Denmark. Christmas eve we were gathered at Kevin and Jannies place.
We have a lot of cute videos, but they just do not want to upload here ... so sorry we can't share them.
Here it is me and Iris ready for the one of my favorite meals of the year - Flaeskesteg og And - nice!
Here is my sister Tina. Sorry we have very few pcitures that are good, so we do not have pictures of all who were there.
But here are the list:
Host and Hostress: My brother Kevin and Jannie with my nephew Andreas, Jannies parents and her sister with her boyfriend and her two small kids.
My father, my sister Tina and us 4.
Marco's plate. I get hungry just viewing the photo again :)
There were more then Gifts enough for everybody :)
Here are my nephew Andreas, with Alessandro and Andreas other Cousin Matil and Matils father.
Marco are here posting with a gift which my brother gave to the kids... I guess Marco and I will enjoy it alot as well.
YES... time for gifts. Kevin and Jannie have the tradition that the kids choose one after another a gift to hand out.
Unfortunaly Andreas now have an age were he can read his own name so in the end there were no more gifts for him, and he was not that happy... I guess we should take note of that for next time, so we won't make the same error.
Iris is supervising Bedstefar while he unwrappes one of his gifts.
Ale got well equipted as handyman. It turnes out that Iris loves the things just as much if not more.
