We had a long weekend visit from my nephew Kristian and his fiance. We really enjoyed it. Saturday the weather was perfect for a trip to the Opel Zoo not far away from where we live.
We could buy food for the animals in the zoo, and Alessandro could therefor feed tha animals. Here he feed the dangerous goats. Its not a fun comment. See later....
Iris enjoyed most of the trip around the zoo from the safety of the buggy with good caretaking from Camilla.
Alessandro calls them "gaj" - I guess he things that the papa-gaj (German) doesn't have anything to do with his papa so no reason to bring him into the name of the bird.
So nice that somebody wanna carry me...
ELEFANTS
Alessandro loves elefants and it was the highlight of the visit to the zoo. Unfortunately he couldn't thow the carrots long enough for the elefants to reach them, but papa helped along.
Also Iris wanted a carrot... and the couple next to us... I guess they just wanted to kiss :)
Kristian assisted Ale riding the elefant. Ale had a hard time given up the elefant again. It became right away "mein elefante".

For 2 euro Ale and Papa also had a chance to ride a motobike together in the zoo.
Lets get them, foot on the gas my child!
In the meantime is Kristiand Camilla babysitting Iris.
At the playground in Zoo is this rolling trunk of wood. Assistance is needed to conquer it.
Also some fun for the big "kids".
Mama takes Ale for his first pony ride. And he liked it.

Back to talk about dangerous goat.
In the petzoo they have big goats, sheeps, donkeys, and small goats. The zoo had forgotton to put up a sign preventing visitors to go in there with food.
We got rid of the food very fast after some big goats have jumped us, and the sheeps and donkeys has surrounded us.
Here is Ale with a donkey that shortly after this picture was taken got wild
- meaning running around and trying to kick everbody.
Also Kristian had his problems after the goats had tried to escape together with him.
Finally we found the small goats in the petzoo and how cute where they!!!
After a long day in the Zoo the kids were over and out. So the girafs and zebras we had to see without them.
We are looking forward to anotehr nice trip to the zoo this summer.
