A weekend just for relaxing

28- 29 June - A weekend just for relaxing

Instead of stressing around to get the office stuff and other stuff moved out of the 2nd room to prepare for Alessandro's arrival, we went for a weekend of relaxation only.

The sun was out, the temperature perfect and so we did what we both love to do: Walking.
Saturday we went to Frankfurt (Saschenhausen) and enjoyed the nice atmospher in that part of the town.
Taking a small break in the middle of the river to enjoy the nice sight of both sides of Frankfurt, Marco just needed to call his mom to tell her about how wonderful Frankfurt is. Not to mention how nice the weather is compared to the boiling Venice.

After crossing the Main river we went downtown to the resturant there that translated is called " The Laughing Cow" where we shared a nice meal. We have come to really like that resturant because of the nice fastfood and nice atmosphere.

On the way back to the car I got really tired -in my belly - that it was no fun the last kilometer. I guess that baby must have turned so that the gravity suddenly had a better pull. That of course made a good excuse for stopping to have a nice HagenDaze icecream.

Sunday:
My belly was not much better on Sunday morning so I was so slow of getting out of bed that it was too late to catch the sacrament meeting in church.
But after getting up I believe that baby has once again moved around because the pain went away and I was ready to something...

So in the afternoon we took a drive north to Bad Nauheim. Not to visit Elvis but to go for a walk in the park there. It was the first time for both of us to be visiting the city. It was a very nice surprice. We both agreed that we could easily live there if one day we decide to move.

Old cars from the 50s and 60s were driving along the streets, Elvis was posted on big posters in the entertainment area and the park was full of people just like us that just enjoyed being alive.

Marco took this new pic of my belly. Yep -it's growing rapidly and with it our babyboy.

And here is another picture of me close to the big lake in the middle of the park. It was really a pleasure to walk there.

The only negative thing was when the park suddently rotated and I had a hard time pointing out in which direction the car were parked (Marco:"It is a weird phenomenon that only happens when Martha is walking around there.. No explanations found yet"). After walking a little too much Marco's male instict sprang into place and we got our directions back in place and finally found the car (Marco:"It's called the counter paranormal husband's power that comes to the rescue of any wife..").
Nice Nice
