Kalundborg - Aarhus - Vacation in Denmark - July 26th 2011

We had made plans with Bedstefar to go to Jylland in his Autocamper. So of we took a sunshinny day. We came to Kalundborg where we plan to take the ferry from. The ferry had just left so we decided to do get some lunch and do a little siteseeing.

Some older people had got themself a horseride though Kalundborg.
We followed them and found this church in this nice neighbourhood.
 Miss Beauty on sightseeing.
Marco in particular is very facinated by the Danish churches.

Finally we got the ferry and we all loved to be ourside on the deck of the ferry to enjoy the good weather and the nice view.
Alessandro looks like Bedstefar sometimes, and I think this picture proves it,
Water and different kind of boats. Very facinating for a little man.

 Denmark from the seaside.
 Marco with Iris.

An Italian is sunbathing in Denmark.

 Computerexpect.
Iris got the concept fairly fast. Now she is good of colouring with the computer.
We decided to get a fast sightseeing in Aarhus.

And it turned out to be a little like Venice...
Alessandro taking off on his own.
Alessandro shows Iris how to jump.
Brosten (I do not know the English word for them), is typical many places in Denmark, as pavement.

 Stort kram!
 As an airplane though Aarhus.
The uglyness of the terror attack in Norway had touched the hearts of the Danes.
Theater in Aarhus.

17 Hours in the the car - Vacation in Denmark - July 23rd 2011

We took of 04.00 in the morning from home and hope to reach Bestefars place in Denmark 10 hours later.

However there was a traffic jam just south of Hamburg. And the car didn't move for hours. Finally we moved slowly and we went of the first exit we came to.

We cruised through part of northen Germany we have not seen before. It was very nice but would have been nicer if we all was not very tired of sitting in the car.

We found a place to cross the river (Elben) with a small ferry so at least we got a little out.
When we continued our travel to Femern. As soon as we hid the bigger road towards Femern there was traffic jam again, however with a little movement forwards. There was no alternative route for us so we just had to be patients.

We were very happy that our kids behaved so well as theuy did. 17 hours later when we reached Knardrup they finally could got some energy out of their bodies.

My birhtday - July 12th 2011

A happy but a little tired birthday girl.

Oooh look...a birthday cake!... Not really a surprise since I made it myself the day before.
On eof my wishes for my birthday was a homemade cake from my husband.

He tried to convince me that he managed the task.... In the evening he repented and told me the truth about the PURCHASED cheesecake.
However he did manage to give me both some of the books I had wished for and a surprise.
The surprise Ale helped me to unwrap. A Wii console. Now we can both do bowling and tennis from the comfort of our livingroom.

The july night sky from our office window.

Hessenpark - July 2011

Finally we did it. We visited Hesenpark which is located only 1 kilometer outside our city. And we enjoyed it and will surely be back another time.

Hessenpark have old house in different format from all over Hessen. This was not really the attraction for us. What we enjoyed was the old maschinery and the animals.

I simply had to show you a picture of these furnitures from one of hte houses.... is it embassing to say that severel similar furnitures can be found in my house as well?
This big tractor gave power to saw the the wood.

Alessandro loved this very much. He kept running back when we tried to move on.
However he found something even more interesting. Pigs!
Also Miss Dot enjoyed watching the pigs.

Somebody didn't really understand why mamma wanted a picture of him in front of the big wheel.

Since we had to walk a lot it was nice to have the double buggy with us
 Look at Miss charming.
Alessandro loves the "? Snurretop"(Sorry I don't know the english word for it). And he is good of getting it to turn. (By the way Iris also master the skill but she lacks a little patient sometimes).
We bought a handmade whistle with us home. Tuuut tuut!
Papa and Alessandro with the train.
 Curious goats and curious kids.

Alessandro and papa greets a donkey.
by then Iris takes a nap.
